Questions
Straight answers before you put the crew on it.
What is free, who gets a login, what location tracking does, and what happens to company records if you stop paying.
Can a company use CMD Ops for free?
Yes. Free supports three active logins, up to 25 active jobs, 500 MB of file storage, and the basic Time, Jobs, Schedule, Maps, People, Materials, Documents, and Reports tools.
Does every employee need a login?
No. The office can create an employee record without creating an account. Give someone a login only when they need to clock time, view assignments, send field updates, or use an office screen.
Can office and field workers see different screens?
Yes. Field employees get the field screen. Office users get the office screen. Approved hybrid users can switch between both. Owners can see both views.
Can I create and update my own profile?
Yes. Creating a company creates the owner profile. After onboarding, Account and Company settings let a signed-in user update their name, display name, contact details, timezone, and avatar.
Does CMD Ops track employees all day?
No. Live crew location is a paid, consent-based feature designed for an open shift, with client collection paused during lunch and stopped at clock-out. Team location will not be activated until the same boundary and retention deletion pass server-side acceptance.
What does Team cost?
Team is $79 per company each month or $790 prepaid yearly. It includes 10 active logins, 10 GB of file storage, two-year detailed history, smart work types, timecard review and approval, and consented live crew location. Additional active logins are $6 each.
What happens if we cancel Team?
Paid access continues through the end of the current period. Company records are not deleted just because a subscription ends. Paid actions lock after downgrade, and the company has a transition period to export data or reduce usage to the Free limits.
Can we export our records?
CMD Ops includes basic time and job-summary exports. Contact support from the account email for a broader company export or verified deletion request.
Is customer access included?
No. Customer and vendor portals are coming-later capabilities, not included in Free or Team today.
Is self-service checkout live?
Not yet. Team is an owner-assisted paid beta while hosted checkout, limit enforcement, and billing management complete acceptance. The owner sees and accepts the exact charge, cadence, renewal, and terms before any payment.
What happens at a plan limit?
CMD warns the owner and blocks the new above-limit action. It does not automatically create overage charges. An added login, storage pack, or plan change requires explicit owner approval.
Can I cancel and get a refund?
Cancellation stops renewal and takes effect at the end of the paid period. Monthly charges are non-refundable except for duplicate charges, billing errors, an uncured material service failure, or where law requires. The first annual purchase has a 30-day full-refund guarantee; an annual renewal may be refunded within seven calendar days.
Are taxes included?
No. Prices are in US dollars and applicable taxes are added after the billing address is known.
Does CMD collect payments from my customers?
No. Paying for CMD Ops is separate from a contractor accepting customer payments. Customer card/ACH acceptance, refunds, disputes, and reconciliation are not a CMD product today.
Where do I get help?
Use Report an issue in Account and Company settings or email hello@retehost.com. The response target is two business days for Free and one business day for Team; those are targets, not service-level guarantees.
